Ex-Techie to Self-Employed

I feel like it was just yesterday that I was updating yall about getting a job back in the tech world again. Instead, I learned a HARD lesson. When one door shuts, do not force it back open or youre gonna learn a big life lesson. TD:LR got sick, could not get better because of the stress I was under...almost ended up in the hospital...resigned.

Resigning was a first for me. You know that guilty feeling you get when you put in your two weeks notice? Did not have that with resigning. Maybe it was because my body was so worn down and exhausted that it knew it was finally getting the relief and rest that it needed. Hitting send on that email was shutting the longest chapter of my life.

So that was beginning of December. Took me the rest of the month to finally get well, put back on the sick weight I lost and honestly, breathe. Then the big question...what is next? Not going back into corporate America, I can tell you that! So the decision was made, the self-employed life.

What does that even mean you ask? Hustling. But on my terms and my schedule. Im completing the process to get my Real Estate license, finally taking social media seriously and getting back to being a creative. I dont have to answer to anyone but myself. Im thankful for the discipline I learned through corporate and putting that to work for myself.

So yeah, thats been my last 3 months. I guess this is my official welcome back to the internets. Excited to get to spend my time on the things I love and share that with yall.
